Day-by-Day Details

Day 1 - Departure Day

Sit back and relax as you fly through the night to London.

Day 2 - London

Touch down in London. Meet your Travel Director and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Get your first taste of London on an orientation walk. Dinner. 

Day 3 - London

Enjoy a guided overview of the city with a licensed local guide. You will see, amongst other highlights Piccadilly Square, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. In the afternoon enjoy a guided visit of the Tower of London.

Day 4 - London

Enjoy a visit to the Central Criminal Court. Known as the Old Bailey this is built on the site of the Old Newgate Prison. You will have time to attend court hearings from the public galleries. The rest of the day is free. Evening Jack the Ripper tour.

Day 5 - London

This morning a legal walking tour introduces you to the Inns of Court and the Royal Courts of Justice where you will learn about the history, anecdotes and traditions of the English Legal system. In the afternoon visit the London Dungeon. Evening optional theatre performance.

Day 6 - London

A guided visit introduces you to the Houses of Parliament. Walk through the Commons and Lords Chambers and see the Westminster Hall which is almost 1000 years old. In the afternoon there will be a Q & A session with a local barrister (request at Inns of Court).

The Health Services group will enjoy a Medical London lecture/walking visit. Begin your tour with a visit to the Royal College of Physicians, a governing body of the British medical profession since 1518. Continue with a walk through London’s medical district, taking in renowned institutions including University College Hospital, the General Medical Council, and the now-defunct London Foot Hospital.

Day 7 - London

Participate in a forensic workshop the contents of which will be tailored to the groups academic goals (possible alternative is to participate in a legal workshop). In the afternoon there will be a discussion with a specialist on either the UK prison system or on juvenile crime.

Day 8 - London

Today is a free day to further explore the city. Suggestions include the National Gallery, the Natural History Museum and the British Museum. Farewell dinner. 


Day 9 - Return Home

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to USA.
